Shaun Brown will complete 50 Sprint distance triathlons, one every day for 50 days with the goal to raise awareness for community charities, local triathlon clubs, the personal benefits of exercise and hopefully raise a few dollars along way.
Hero50 is open to anyone interested to come along and participate in a swim, bike, or run.
(Sprint distance tri = 750 meter swim,
20 km bike ride, 5km run)
I am obviously a little bit strange and some might say crazy, to take on this challenge, but it is about having fun when we can. The participation in Triathlon as a sport has changed my life in so many ways for the positive. The sport has improved not only my physical health but also my mental health and personal discipline to persevere against road blocks I previously believed to be too hard.
My support team consists of my family, friends and work mates. It also includes people like you within the community and business signing up for sponsorship or just donating a couple of bucks and following my journey.

It is the combination of his two passions that has led to the incredible success of our clients, and business. 50 triathlons in 50 days
This morning we witnessed Shaun complete his 36th Triathlon in a row as part of his Hero 50 Triathlon journey.
What an effort this truly is, not only to set up the webpage, and socials, but to actually complete 50 triathlons in 50 days.. wow, just wow.
I had the pleasure of chatting to Shaun during the tri today and he was smiles all the way, those who know Shaun, know he is passionate about Triathlon and giving back to the community. The Hero50 Triathlon idea came from the disappointment of his Age Group world Championship campaign being affected by covid and the subsequent cancellations of so many qualifying races, so instead of being disappointed, he decided to Tri for Charity.
Please, support shaun and make a small donation to his fundraising efforts.
Selfawear tri suit test run Mackay Harbour
Hi Hero50 supporters, last week I caught up Kayleigh from Chances Op & Coffee Shop and ASAP - Australian Street Aid Project to pass on a donation of shirts and jumpers from Selfawear. Selfawear's mission is to encourage people to be more positive and optimistic to themselves and people around them, helping the world become a more positive place. This clothing will be used to support the homeless and spread the positive message. Again thank you for your support of the Mackay community Selfawear.
Kayleigh Brewster is the Founder and CEO Australian Street Aid Project (ASAP) and Chances op shop and Coffee shop. Our talk is about what services they provide and where the donations will be used to help those in community that need our help.
Thank you to all the sponsors that have got behind the fundraiser.
